Whether we do detailed planning or you just want to ask some questions, you'll be better informed.
Figure out when you can retire, what you're on track for, how much you can spend, when to take Social Security, how to invest your retirement nest egg, and more.
We generally take stock of your resources like Social Security or pension income, plus any assets earmarked for retirement. Then, we review your projected spending, including potential changes to spending over time. All the while, we keep taxes, investment returns, inflation, and other factors top-of-mind. And we can run various what-if scenarios to take an optimistic or pessimistic view—or just explore possibilities.
How do we work together? It's your choice: Do it yourself, or have me handle your investments—you are not required to transfer assets or invest any minimum amount.
Options include flat-fee or one-time project work, asset management, and other arrangements. You can choose a model that meets your needs and feels right for you. Get a second set of eyes, ask a few questions online, get a quick investment review, or go with an ongoing relationship.
With that information, you can make informed decisions. Can you retire early? How much can you spend after taxes? Does it make sense to pursue strategies like Roth IRA conversions (to avoid IRMAA surcharges and manage taxes)? Are annuities worth looking at, and should you keep the products somebody else sold you?
When it comes to investing, I favor a simple approach. Portfolios and recommendations are primarily index-based, consisting of mutual funds or ETFs. I do not receive any commissions for selling products, and I'm not a fan of active trading or picking individual stocks.
